The Foundation of the Valley of Palaces and Gardens of the Jelenia Góra Valley was established in the summer of 2005. It is an organization that is very actively trying to promote the Deer Valley with its immense cultural values. It was as a result of her efforts that in 2012. succeeded in establishing a Cultural Park in the Deer Valley. Then get the title of Monument of History granted by the President of Poland for 11 of the more than 30 mansion buildings. This fact provides a legal basis and a great opportunity to inscribe the Valley of Palaces and Gardens on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
Through various promotional activities, publications, cultural events, meetings and conferences, FDPiO spreads knowledge of the Jelenia Góra Valley with its extraordinary cultural heritage.
One of the founders of the Foundation was its long-time President Piotr Napierała, a civil engineer and architectural conservator. He was also a promoter of the idea of historic preservation as an important part of cultural heritage. It is on his initiative that the palace and park establishment in Bukowiec is now gaining a second life. Also, the idea of Ornamental Farm is becoming known to a wider and wider audience.
